Five eyelash extension trends lead right now: the anime effect with defined spikes, wispy lashes with mixed lengths, the glossy wet look, foxy lashes that lift the outer corner, and touches of colour. All of them are applied lash by lash and last 4 to 6 weeks with infills.
- The anime effect joins several fibres into spikes 2-4 mm longer than the rest.
- Wispy lashes mix two or three lengths for a light, slightly textured finish.
- The wet look closes the fans so the lashes look freshly wet.
- Foxy lashes place the longest fibres on the outer third of the eye.
- A trend set at Migami costs €118.89 and the appointment takes about 150 minutes.

Which eyelash extension trends are in right now?
Textured sets are in: spikes, mixed lengths and glossy finishes. The dense, heavy line that looks the same from corner to corner has given way to lighter effects with visible gaps and movement.
The reason is practical. An extension that is too thick or too long weighs down your natural lash and can make it fall out early. Current effects use fine fibres, from 0.05 to 0.10 mm, and spread the length with care.
| Effect | How it looks | Eye shape it flatters |
|---|---|---|
| Anime | Long spikes with short lashes in between | Almond, downturned or hooded |
| Wispy | Mixed lengths, light look | Almost all |
| Wet look | Clustered, glossy lashes | Round or large eyes |
| Foxy | Outer corner stretched towards the temple | Round or close-set eyes |
| Colour | Brown or coloured fibres among the black | Any, depending on skin tone |
Anime lashes: manga-style spikes
The anime effect gathers several extensions into closed spikes that form long points, with short, fine lashes between them. It copies the line of drawn manga eyes, and it is the speciality at Migami.
The key is deciding beforehand where each spike goes, so they land in the centre and outer corner of your eye rather than the inner corner. For the technical detail, our guide to manga-style lash extensions explains spike-by-spike mapping. Our anime lashes in Andorra service starts from that design.
Wispy lashes: mixed lengths
Wispy sets alternate two or three lengths, for example 9, 11 and 13 mm, so the lash line has soft peaks. The result looks like very full natural lashes, without the solid block of a classic volume set.
It is the easiest trend to wear every day. It can be built on a classic lash-by-lash base or on fans, so it works whether you want something subtle or prefer textured Russian volume.
What is the wet look lash effect?
The wet look imitates lashes just out of the water: clustered, black and glossy. It is created by closing the fans instead of opening them, so each group reads as one thick lash.
It gives a very intense black without mascara. It works well on large or round eyes, where clustered lashes do not cover the lid. On small eyes it is best kept to the outer third.
If you want anime lashes or any other trend, we design it around your eye in Andorra la Vella.
Foxy eyes: the lifted outer corner
Foxy lashes put the shortest extensions at the inner corner and the longest on the outer third, with a more open curl. The eye seems to stretch towards the temple, like eyeliner without the make-up.
It flatters round and close-set eyes, because it moves the visual weight outwards. On downturned eyes it should be softened: if the outer corner is too heavy, the eye droops even more.
Are coloured lashes in fashion?
Yes, in small doses. The usual approach is to mix a few coloured fibres among the black ones, mostly at the outer corner, so the colour shows when you blink.
- Brown: softens the result on fair skin and blonde hair.
- Blue or violet: adds a cool shine you notice up close.
- Red or wine: warms up brown or green eyes.
- Glitter or gems: meant for an event or a photo shoot, not for every day.
Colour can be removed or changed at your next infill without redoing the whole set.
How long do trend lash sets last?
Trend sets last as long as any extensions: 4 to 6 weeks, the time your natural lash takes to complete its cycle and shed. To keep the design complete you need an infill every 2-3 weeks.
At Migami, if you come back within 18 days of your last appointment, you pay the €72.90 infill instead of the full price. Aftercare and shedding are covered in how long eyelash extensions last.
How to choose the right trend for you
Choose by your eye shape first and by the style you like second. An effect that looks great in a photo can close up a hooded eye or drag down a downturned one.
- Look at your eye straight on: round, almond, downturned or hooded.
- Decide how noticeable you want it: everyday, in-between or special occasion.
- Check your natural lashes: if they are fine or short, lighter fibres are better.
- Ask for a curl test before you start.
We talk it through with you before the first extension goes on. If you are torn between techniques, our comparison of which type of extensions to choose helps you arrive with a clear idea.
What people ask us
What is the most natural eyelash extension trend?
The most natural eyelash extension trend is wispy lashes on a classic lash-by-lash base. It mixes two or three lengths with fine fibres, so the line has soft peaks and looks like very full natural lashes. You can wear it every day and it suits any eye shape.
Do anime lashes suit small eyes?
Anime lashes can suit small eyes if the spikes are shorter and spaced further apart. With a few spikes of around 10 or 11 mm, the eye opens up without the lashes covering it. We adjust this in the design beforehand, deciding where each spike goes.
How much do trend eyelash extensions cost in Andorra?
Trend eyelash extensions cost €118.89 at Migami, Av. Meritxell 9, Andorra la Vella. The appointment takes about 150 minutes, design included. An infill within 18 days costs €72.90.
Can the wet look be combined with anime lashes?
The wet look can be combined with anime lashes and the two work well together: closed, glossy spikes strengthen the drawn look. The fill between the spikes is kept light so the contrast holds and the eye does not look heavy.
Do coloured lash extensions damage natural lashes?
Coloured lash extensions do not damage natural lashes any more than black ones. The colour is in the synthetic fibre, not your hair, and the weight is the same. What matters is the thickness and length chosen, as with any extension.
